Simulation of the «Rokot» carrier rocket liftoff

This work was carried out in cooperation with the "Khrunichev" design office

 

 

The main objective of the research was to determine the conditions of a shock-free liftoff of the "Rokot" carrier rocket.

The simulation was performed for the launching system column - launching system bed plate - launching container - carrier rocket dynamical system.

 

The main features of the model include:

    o elastic model of the carrier rocket structure;

    o elastic model of the launching container;

    o elastic model of the launching system column;

    o elastic properties of the carrier rocket - launching container and launching container - launching system column connections;

    o transient wind load on the carrier rocket, launching container, and the launching system column;

    o influence of the transverse vibrations caused by the wind;

    o influence of the launching container heating on the liftoff process.

In order to determine the conditions of a shock-free liftoff of the "Rokot" carrier rocket a statistical analysis of the process was performed. Statistically distributed divergences of the carrier rocket parameters, of the launching system parameters, of the external loads, and of the initial conditions of the launch were taken into consideration.
