Simulation of an «Angara» family carrier rocket liftoff
The peculiarity of the liftoff of a carrier rocket from "Angara" family is the interaction process between the rocket and the launching system mechanism. The mechanism holds the rocket during the first stage of the launch and then takes the arm with rocket-born releasable connections away from the rocket. The interaction develops during the joint motion of the rocket and the launching system mechanism. As a result a rather complicated spatial pattern of dynamic interaction in the launching system column - holding mechanism - launching system - carrier rocket - control system - environment system takes shape.
The following factors were taken into account during the simulation:
The research objective was the dynamical analysis of the start of an Angara-5 carrier rocket when one of the engines fails to operate. The results of the simulation were used for correcting the control system algorithms to ensure the gap between the launching column and the rocket during the liftoff.
