The EULER software package can be used to model the kinematics and dynamic behavior of a variety of mechanical systems. This can be either simple mechanisms or complex systems, for example, a car or a compound train, an airplane, a missile, or an expanding space antenna. Simulated systems can include rigid and deformable structural elements, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems, control systems and other components.
The following basic information is used as the initial data for model formation in EULER:
- Geometric and mass-inertial characteristics. Geometric models, including mass-inertial characteristics, can be generated directly in EULER or imported from the CAD system. Models of deformable structures are imported from software complexes that implement the finite element method (FEM).
- Types and characteristics of mechanical connections connecting parts of the mechanical system.
- Characteristics of force interactions between parts of the mechanical system and the interactions of parts with the external environment.
As a result of the calculation in the EULER, the following characteristics can be obtained:
- Kinematic parameters of motion of any characteristic points of the investigated mechanical system (linear / angular coordinates, velocities, accelerations).
- Forces acting on the part of the mechanical system from the side of kinematic connections (hinges) and power elements (springs, shock absorbers, external environment, etc.).
- The necessary control actions for the motion of the system under study according to a given program.
In the EULER software complex, various studies of simulated mechanical systems can be carried out. In particular, the following calculations can be performed:
- Calculation of the trajectory of positions.
- Calculation of dynamic motion.
- Parametric analysis.
- Optimization of the parameters of the system under study.
- Solution of boundary value problems.
- Monte-Carlo study.
The EULER software complex has developed tools for documenting the results: transferring images, graphics, tables to other applications, creating standard AVI files that represent the motion of the simulated system, etc.
